That sounds cool! I live in the Midwest, but I can't recall ever seeing a snowstorm form.
Last week's snow is a distant memory... it was in the fifties this weekend. I'm sure the temperature will drop again soon enough...

So I ordered some books off Amazon today... exciting. I love getting stuff in the mail. Like a bunch of little presents to myself.
I got Les Miserables (since I apparently only have the abridged version, which... KILL IT WITH FIRE!) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, plus two Steinbecks I haven't read. I've been having a love affair with Steinbeck over the last year or so.
So, shortly I should be ready for snow storms/power outages/whathave you. Fireplace + books = happy!Random

I just spent two hours ferreting my old school papers out of various drawers in my room and filing them in my new boxes, and I actually enjoyed it because I'm just that exciting.

Hey, I love messing around with papers and filing things. I think that's pretty exciting.
Sooo... I... got my 50k for NaNo on Sunday? That's kind of exciting too. Maybe I should file it.

Congrats on the successful finish, Ran! My attempt fizzled out 'way back on Day ... 2, I think.

Hey, I love messing around with papers and filing things. I think that's pretty exciting. Heh, me too. That's why I became an archivist. ;D And Sandi, if it makes you feel any better, my projectlet fizzled out, too... I haven't done anything more on it since I last posted about it here. I keep having to write boring things like cover letters, instead. Curse you, job hunt!

At my family's Thanksgiving dinner, someone brought Oreo Balls (aka Oreo Truffles) for dessert. I ended up getting to take about a dozen leftover ones home. This is a dangerous, dangerous situation. I think I've eaten four today... and I can feel my blood turning to sugar. Heaven in the form of crushed Oreos and cream cheese covered in chocolate, if anyone is interested: allrecipes.com/Recipe/easy-oreo-truffles/detail.aspx

Those Oreo-thingies look so good....
I had a huge lunch earlier though, and even several hours later, the thought of eating makes me feel like vomitting. I guess that's what happen when one eats an entire Quiche by ones' self.

Is there any such thing as too much quiche, though?

HEY! I go away for a few days and we have new members. How awesome is that?
...except for the fact that I apparently have to go away for it to happen...
Anyway! Hi Rezz! Hi FAB! Long time no see! No see in long time! Whichever!

I now know what the first thing I watch will be once Unboxed Project is over January first: the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserables. Just got it in the mail a few days ago. Bring on the Ramin, bebe. *deep nod*

Ooooo... that sounds like a good plan to me. ;D I have the CD of that, I think, but haven't listened to it yet... I think that's what it is, anyway... would need to go look at it to be sure. And I'm always happy to enable procrastination. I just finished my breakfast of oatmeal with flax seeds, a pumpkin-cranberry-walnut muffin, an Oreo truffle, and puppy chow... Breakfast of champions, y'all. I love the inner conflict clear in the contrast between the healthy oatmeal and everything else... oh well.
